Since PointOne’s REDBOX Technology is a medical device as defined by the FDA, it has been developed in compliance with the FDA’s Quality System Regulation. Developed and created in an FDA-registered facility, REDBOX was born to perform with the utmost accuracy.

REDBOX consists of four software components:

1. The REDBOX application programmers interface (RB-API) specifies and makes available the REDBOX data model, message structure, and software-to-software communication options required by other stand-alone applications such as Electronic Health Record systems to deliver data to and accept reports from the REDBOX.

2. The REDBOX health relevance analytic engine (RB-HRAE) analyzes the data passed from the external stand-alone software application and produces generically formatted REDBOX health-relevant content. Content consists of any one or combination of medical guidelines, data calculations, graphs, images, and tables.

3. The REDBOX health report presentation wrapper (RB-HRPW) converts the formatted REDBOX health-relevant content into REDBOX health reports in html, pdf, postscript, or small-device format.

4. The REDBOX health relevance repository (RB-HRR) is a database of references, guidelines, evidence, algorithms, logic, rules, and mathematical models used by the REDBOX health relevance analytic engine to analyze data and produce REDBOX health-relevant content.
